Day 3 — Who I Think I Am
Week 1: The Second Act of Rebellion: Soul Recovery
Over the past couple of days, you may have started to notice things.
Small reactions.
Assumptions.
Patterns that usually move too quickly to see.
The Next Layer
Today, we take that one step further.
Because some beliefs do not just shape what you think.
They shape who you think you are.
Identity Feels Fixed
There are things you might say about yourself that feel completely true.
This is just how I am.
I have always been this way.
This is part of my personality.
And because they feel so consistent, they rarely get questioned.
Where Did That Come From?
But if you slow down and look at it differently, something interesting starts to appear.
Many of the things you believe about yourself were formed in specific moments.
Through experiences.
Through repetition.
Through what was reinforced or challenged.
Over time, those moments became patterns.
And those patterns became identity.
The Soul Signal
That part of you we are calling the soul still notices.
It does not argue.
It does not force change.
It simply does not fully settle into the story.
There is often a quiet sense that something does not quite fit.
Staying With It
Again, the instinct will be to figure it out.
To explain it.
To defend it.
To confirm it.
Let that go for now.
Just notice what you believe about yourself.
No Need to Change
You are not trying to become someone different.
You are not trying to remove anything.
You are just beginning to see what has been there.
Closing
Because the moment you can see a belief about yourself as something you have, not something you are,
space opens.
And in that space, something new becomes possible.
Echo Question
What do I believe about myself that I have always assumed is just who I am?
